Overview As Commercial Director Europe, you will lead the food preservation and protection business across Continental Europe, engaging Tier 1 bakers and food manufacturers. You will own the regional commercial strategy and drive revenue and margin targets while building a high-performing, technically credible sales team. Collaborating with R&D;, regulatory, and technical service, you will align solutions with customer processes and labeling needs.
This role offers impact at scale in a multinational food ingredients business with a direct, end-user focus.
Retribuzione / Benefits Full remote work with travel across Continental Europe Industry-leading role in a multinational company Cross-functional collaboration with R&D; and regulatory teams Lead and grow the food preservation and protection business across Continental Europe, focusing on bakery customers and broader food/beverage applications Own and deliver the regional commercial strategy aligned with direct, end-user-led relationships Build and manage a portfolio of Tier 1 bakery and food manufacturing accounts as the senior relationship owner Develop territory and key account plans with pipeline management, forecasting, and revenue/margin delivery Lead,
coach and recruit a team of Key Account Managers / technical sales professionals Collaborate with R&D;, technical service and regulatory teams to position and trial preservation solutions Manage the transition of distributor-served accounts to direct relationships without revenue disruption Provide commercial input into demand planning, pricing and margin management; report performance to senior leadership Contribute to the broader European commercial strategy and 90-day action plan for internal milestones Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry or related discipline; commercial/MBA credentials are assets ~20+ years in the food ingredients sector with direct experience in preservation, protection, enzyme systems, or shelf-life tech for bakery/food manufacturers ~ Deep knowledge of the bakery sector (industrial and artisanal) ~ Strategic, curious and business-driven leadership with hands-on, detail-driven execution ~ Fluent in English ~ Location: Europe (full remote with travel) ~ People leadership and coaching ~ Preservation and protection technologies ~ Enzyme systems and shelf-life technologies ~ Bakery sector knowledge (industrial and artisanal)
