As a pioneer, the business has been supplying innovative solutions to polymer processors for decades and continues to enjoy strong growth across Europe and as a result is looking to strengthen its commercial presence across Italy.Role OverviewReporting to the Sales Director, you will take ownership of the Italian markets, driving both new business development and the growth of existing customer relationships.This is a strategic yet hands-on commercial role, suited to someone who enjoys developing long-term partnerships while identifying new market opportunities. You will work closely with internal technical and production teams to deliver tailored solutions to customers across the plastics industry.ResponsibilitiesAnalysing and identifying opportunities within the established catchment area, as well as contacting and acquiring new prospects to open and develop the market.Carrying out maintenance and loyalty-building work for the active client portfolio, as well as driving the growth of these accounts.Build strong relationships with compounders, masterbatch manufacturers, polymer processors,
film producers and other plastics converters.Identify market trends, competitor activity and new commercial opportunities.Deliver regular sales forecasts, activity reports and market intelligence.Work collaboratively with technical, production and customer service teams to ensure excellent customer support.Maintain accurate CRM records and manage customer payment performance.Represent the business at customer meetings, industry exhibitions and trade fairs throughout Europe.Person SpecificationProven sales experience within the plastics, polymers, additives, masterbatch, compounding or related materials industries.Strong track record of developing new business whilst managing strategic customer relationships.Experience selling technical raw materials, compounds, concentrates or additives into plastics processing markets would be highly advantageous.Commercially driven with excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.Fluent English is essential together with Italian.
