Overview In this role you will drive the design of mechanical components and sub-assemblies within the New Product Development process, from initial spec through to start of production. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure right-first-time solutions, balancing performance, obsolescence, and cost. You will help define tests, support prototype work, and contribute to DFMEA and BOM management.

Responsabilità
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to analyze and evaluate specifications
- Prepare preliminary product feasibility studies with Industrial Design and R&D;
- Identify risks that could affect development timelines
- Create and maintain component and sub-assembly specifications
- Execute 3D/2D CAD design for parts and layouts
- Support R&D; in prototype preparation and testing
- Contribute to DFMEA preparation
- Prepare and maintain preliminary technical BOM
- Collaborate with R&D; and Purchasing on costs/investments
- Work with moulding departments to analyze manufacturing processes
- Support Quality Control, Production during Engineering Build and Pre-production
- Participate actively in technical design reviews
- Prepare technical documentation for status updates and future steps
Requisiti fondamentali
- BEng or BSc in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience in designing mechanical components and systems
- Knowledge of 3D design tool Siemens NX
- Knowledge of mass production product development
- Good knowledge of laboratory equipment and test result evaluation
