Overview You will lead the strategic expansion into the Defence and Aerospace markets from scratch, shaping the commercial and BD strategy and building a sustainable pipeline. You will cultivate executive relationships with MoD, prime contractors and system integrators, and align engineering, operations and compliance to defence standards. This role offers the chance to position our machinery within major programmes and influence how we win in a highly regulated, long-cycle domain.
You will drive high-impact deals and cross-functional collaboration to unlock growth in a new market.
Retribuzione / Benefits ~ Director level package ~ Car ~20% MBO Responsabilità Define, structure and execute the Defence and Aerospace BD strategy Build and manage executive relationships with MoD, Tier-1 OEMs, and system integrators Lead market opening and positioning, identify macro trends and procurement programmes for a sustainable pipeline Oversee complex, long-cycle deal structuring and negotiations among diverse stakeholders Align engineering,
operations and compliance with defence standards and qualifications Requisiti fondamentali ~10+ years in senior BD or strategic leadership in Defence/Aerospace ~ Proven experience launching new businesses or structuring sales strategies in highly regulated markets ~ Active high-level network within international and domestic Defence organisations and primes ~ Ability to translate industrial manufacturing capabilities into compelling strategic value propositions ~ Deep understanding of Defence procurement, funding mechanisms, and international certification frameworks ~ Experience managing product qualification, validation or industrial certification processes ~ Ability to interact effectively with engineering and procurement stakeholders ~ Strategic thinking ~ Executive relationship management ~ Cross-functional leadership ~ Defence procurement processes ~ Industrial certification frameworks ~ Complex deal structuring
