Emergency Telecommunications Public Safety Dispatcher
(Part time per diem Position)
Salary: $28.16 per hour
The City of Attleboro seeks a part time per diem public safety dispatcher to receive, transmit and disseminate both routine and emergency communications utilizing the telephone, radio and E-911 systems. Also uses various fire department software to document incidents.
Position requires knowledge of City locations and High school diploma or GED.
Two years’ experience in communication equipment and basic knowledge of computer software operations.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
Must be able to operate computer, telephone and other communications equipment.
Must be able to remain calm and professional in emergency situations.
A criminal records background check will be performed on all applicants.
Shift work required.
Prior emergency dispatching experience and/or certification as an E-911 telecommunicator preferred.
