Field Service Engineer

We are looking for a professional with a technical background in electronics or IT, combining strong attention to detail with a pragmatic, hands?on approach, to join our Service Team as a Field Service Engineer.
The successful candidate will work mainly independently, while always being part of a team.
Key responsibilities
Perform equipment installations, troubleshooting and predictive maintenance activities to ensure the proper operation of our systems.
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, both remotely via VPN and on site at customer locations across Italy.
Carry out repairs on equipment received at our in?house laboratory.
Communicate with customers throughout the technical support process.
Liaise with the technical support teams of our device manufacturers.
Install and configure medical software and integrate it into hospital IT networks.
Accurately complete work reports and dedicated checklists, ensuring that the equipment maintenance database is updated promptly.
Work closely with the Service, Sales and Back Office teams to optimise operational efficiency and management costs, including the procurement of any spare parts required for equipment repairs.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or a technical high school diploma in Electronics,
Electrical Engineering or Information Technology.
Ability to read electrical and pneumatic diagrams.
Knowledge of IT networks and Windows environments.
Accuracy, a practical mindset and the ability to adapt to different working environments.
Excellent command of Italian and good knowledge of English (B2 level).
Availability to travel across Italy, with the possibility of returning home on the same day.
Previous experience in the medical sector and knowledge of SQL databases and DICOM standards will be considered a plus.

Full?time employment under the Italian CCNL Metalmeccanico, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
Salary will be discussed during the interview process and determined based on the candidate's actual experience.
