ppMilan area, Italy | On-site | Full-time | Permanent /p h3About the role /h3 pPeoItaly is recruiting an bEnergy Marshall /b for a confidential international general contractor delivering mission-critical Data Centre projects across Europe.
/p pThe successful candidate will be employed directly by the client and join the project team responsible for a major Data Centre development in the Milan area.
/p pThis is a critical site-based position responsible for maintaining rigorous control of hazardous-energy isolations as electrical and MEP systems progress from construction through testing, commissioning and energisation.
/p pOperating at the intersection of Construction, Commissioning and EHS, the Energy Marshall will ensure that LOTO/LOTOS, permit-to-work and hazardous-energy control procedures are correctly implemented, documented and consistently followed.
The role will contribute directly to the protection of personnel, equipment and live systems during technically sensitive project phases.
/p h3Key responsibilities /h3 ul liTake operational ownership of the project's hazardous-energy isolation programme.
/li liPlan, coordinate and monitor energy-isolation activities across assigned MEP systems and work areas.
/li liVerify compliance with approved LOTO/LOTOS, permit-to-work and hazardous-energy control procedures.
/li liReview risk assessments, permits, method statements, isolation plans and energisation documentation.
/li liCoordinate Construction and Commissioning teams during system testing, transition and energisation activities.
/li liManage LOTO/LOTOS permits, authorisations and related approval processes.
/li liMaintain clear communication between Construction, Commissioning, EHS, client representatives,
contractors and suppliers.
/li liChair energy-control and isolation-coordination meetings.
/li liDeliver training, inductions and briefings on hazardous-energy control and permit procedures.
/li liSupport activities involving MV and LV infrastructure, including 20 kV systems and final low-voltage circuits.
/li liMaintain accurate isolation, permit, authorisation and energisation registers.
/li liMonitor outstanding actions and ensure that isolation-related records remain current, complete and traceable.
/li liParticipate in audits, compliance reviews and continuous-improvement activities.
/li liEscalate unsafe conditions, procedural deviations and unresolved energy-control risks.
/li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liTechnical qualification or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related electrical discipline.
/li liProven experience managing LOTO/LOTOS and permit-to-work programmes.
/li liStrong knowledge of hazardous-energy isolation and control principles.
/li liPractical understanding of medium- and low-voltage electrical infrastructure.
/li liExperience supporting electrical testing, commissioning and energisation activities.
/li liAbility to review risk assessments, permits and technical isolation documentation.
/li liConfidence coordinating Construction, Commissioning, EHS, client,
contractor and supplier stakeholders.
/li liEnglish proficiency at a minimum B2 level or equivalent, including the ability to lead meetings, training sessions and audits.
/li liStrong organisational skills and a methodical approach to documentation and record keeping.
/li liRight to work in Italy.
/li liAvailability to work full-time on-site in the Milan area.
/li /ul pPrevious experience on Data Centre, mission-critical or similarly complex electrical projects would be advantageous.
/p h3Compensation and contractual framework /h3 ul liGross annual base salary: bEUR 70,000-EUR 90,000 /b.
The position within the range will be determined using objective, gender-neutral and role-related criteria, including relevant experience, technical expertise, qualifications and level of responsibility.
/li liEmployment model: bdirect full-time employment by the client /b.
/li liContract term: Permanent.
/li /ul pThe position is based full-time on-site at a major Data Centre development in the Milan area.
/p pThe Energy Marshall will work closely with international Construction, Commissioning, EHS and client teams during the testing and energisation of complex MV and LV electrical infrastructure.
