Purpose of the PositionAs Subsea Mechanical and Structural Engineer, you will report to the Mechanical and Special Tool office manager and be part of the Sonsub office.ResponsibilitiesDesign structural and machine elements including transmission gears and electromechanical components, selecting commercial components and materials; considering corrosion, machining, welding process, and fabrication tolerances.Design taking into account production cost savings, component standardization, and ease of integration, testing, and maintenance.Manage and control external engineering resources for assistance in 2D/3D design.Manage and control external subcontractors for fabrication and testing of the designed equipment.Manage 3D models produced internally and externally, filing documents in Autodesk Vault.QualificationsEducation: Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.Experience:
