This position is ideal for a consultant who is passionate about delivering outstanding patient outcomes and helping shape the future of dermatology services. /ph3The Role /h3pWe are seeking a highly motivated, patient-focused, and experienced bConsultant Dermatologist /b to provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and management of a broad spectrum of dermatological conditions. /ppThe successful candidate will manage patients across medical, surgical, cosmetic, and paediatric dermatology, while supporting efficient care pathways and contributing specialist expertise in the management of complex cases. The role requires close collaboration with specialist clinicians, nursing teams, and multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure the highest standards of patient care, clinical governance, and service delivery. /ppThis appointment is particularly suited to a consultant who combines strong clinical expertise with a commitment to service improvement, innovation and excellence in patient care. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliConduct comprehensive dermatology consultations and detailed skin examinations for patients presenting with a wide range of dermatological conditions. /liliAssess, diagnose, treat, and manage complex dermatology cases across medical, surgical, cosmetic, and paediatric dermatology. /liliProvide expert consultant-level advice and management plans for complex or escalated referrals.



/liliSupport the development and delivery of efficient, evidence-based dermatology care pathways. /liliDevelop individualised treatment plans that optimise patient outcomes and enhance patient experience. /liliMaintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical records in accordance with professional and regulatory standards. /liliWork collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, integrated patient care. /liliParticipate in clinical governance activities, audits, quality improvement initiatives, and service development projects. /liliContribute to the ongoing enhancement of dermatology services through innovation, best practice, and continuous improvement. /liliPromote the highest standards of patient safety, clinical effectiveness, professionalism, and ethical practice. /li /ulpApplicants must meet the following requirements: /pulliRegistration as a specialist in the bSpecialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council of Ireland /b in Dermatology. /li /ulh3AND /h3ulliA minimum of one year of postgraduate training and experience in bPaediatric Dermatology /b. /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliCompletion of recognised specialist training in Dermatology within an EU or UK jurisdiction. /liliBoard Certification, Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST), or equivalent specialist qualification recognised within the EU or UK. /liliEligibility to practise independently as a Consultant Dermatologist in Ireland. /li /ulh3Experience /h3pThe successful candidate will demonstrate: /pulliProven experience working at Consultant Dermatologist level within a hospital, specialist clinic,
