This position is based at our Luxembourg headquarters and requires regular office presence . The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its Group Information Systems Directorate (GIS), Business Technology Solutions Department (BTS), Core Lending Division (CLD) at its headquarters in Luxembourg, a Head of Lending Technology & Applications Division*. This is a full-time position at grade 7 for which the EIB offers a permanent contract. Applicants will receive initial feedback in September/October 2026. Assessment Centres for selected applicants would take place in October/November 2026. Panel interviews are anticipated for November 2026.

Purpose
Join us at the heart of the European Union's Bank and lead the technology capabilities that support the EIB Group’s lending activities. As Head of Lending Technology & Applications Division,
you will drive the evolution of the Bank’s lending technology landscape, overseeing the applications and platforms that enable the delivery of financing operations across the organisation. You will help deliver innovative, secure and resilient digital solutions that support one of the Bank’s core business areas. This is a leadership role with significant strategic impact. You will guide multidisciplinary technology teams, influence the future direction of lending technology and shape the applications, services and practices that enable business transformation and operational excellence. By combining technology leadership with strong business partnership, you will help modernise the lending ecosystem and deliver solutions that create lasting value for the Bank and the communities it serves.
