As a Reactive Group Sales, you will play a key role in driving the hotel's commercial success by identifying, developing, and securing group business opportunities that contribute to revenue growth and position The St. Regis Venice as a premier luxury and MICE destination.

/p h3CANDIDATE PROFILE /h3 h3Education and Experience /h3 pbRequired: /b /p ulliHigh school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area.
/li /ul pbPreferred: /b /p ulliUniversity degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management.
/liliLodging sales experience.
/liliAccount management experience.
/liliMarriott sales systems experience.
/li /ul h3CORE WORK ACTIVITIES /h3 ul liManaging Sales Activities /li liIdentifying, developing, and managing business opportunities for group accommodation, meetings, incentives, conferences, and special events.
/li liDeveloping and implementing sales strategies aimed at maximizing revenue and market share within the group segment.
/li liManaging the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation through negotiation, contract signing, and post-sale follow-up.
/li liBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with clients, event planners, travel agencies, destination management companies, and key accounts.
/li liPreparing customized proposals, contracts, and presentations tailored to each client's specific requirements.




/li liConducting site inspections, hotel presentations, and sales appointments to showcase the hotel's facilities and services.
/li liMonitoring market trends, competitor activity, and emerging business opportunities to enhance sales performance.
/li liWorking closely with Revenue Management teams to optimize pricing, availability, and profitability for group business.
/li liCollaborating with Events, Operations, and Catering teams to ensure seamless execution of contracted programs and events.
/li liMaintaining accurate and up-to-date client, pipeline, and contract information within Marriott's sales systems.
/li liPreparing sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses for leadership teams.
/li liEnsuring compliance with Marriott International sales standards, policies, and procedures.
/li liContributing actively to the achievement and surpassing of revenue and production goals established by the hotel.
/li liUnderstands the overall market (e.g., competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc.) and knows how to sell against them.
/li liPartners with Sales to identify new group/catering business and achieve personal and property revenue goals.
/li liProvides expert knowledge on local destination (e.g., local attractions, events, etc.) /li liCoordinates with all sales channels to educate selling engines on property attributes and business needs.
/li liVerifies channels and websites are updated with accurate details about the property.
/li liProvides other sales support as needed, upon direction from General Manager (GM) or sales leadership, within the overall sales strategy.
/li liPerforms other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs.




/li liServes the customer by understanding their needs and recommending the appropriate features and services that best meet their needs and exceed their expectations, while building a relationship and loyalty to Marriott.
/li liDrives customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
/li /ul h3What We Are Looking For In You /h3 ul liPrevious experience in hotel sales, group sales, MICE, events, hospitality business development, or a similar commercial role.
/li liStrong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
/li liA customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering tailored solutions and exceptional experiences.
/li liA proactive, organized, and results-oriented approach to achieving business objectives.
/li liStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends, sales reports, and business opportunities.
/li liConfidence working in international and multicultural environments.
/li liExperience using CRM platforms, hotel sales systems, and business development tools.
/li liExcellent collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple departments.
/li liFluency in Italian and English; additional languages will be considered a strong advantage.
