Job DescriptionThe Fitness Instructor is responsible for delivering professional and engaging fitness and wellness experiences to guests.
The role involves conducting personal training sessions and group fitness activities, providing guidance on exercise and equipment, and maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming fitness environment in line with luxury resort standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct personal training sessions and group fitness classes for guests of different fitness levels.
Assess guests' fitness levels, needs, and goals and develop suitable exercise programs.
Provide professional guidance on correct exercise techniques and safe use of fitness equipment.
Conduct fitness activities such as stretching, functional training, cardio, strength training, aqua fitness, and other wellness activities as required.
Motivate and encourage guests to participate in fitness and wellness activities.
Deliver friendly, personalized, and professional service to enhance the overall guest experience.
Maintain the gym, fitness areas, and equipment in a clean, safe, and well-organized condition.
Inspect fitness equipment regularly and report any defects or maintenance requirements promptly.
Ensure all fitness activities are conducted in accordance with health, safety, and emergency procedures.
Maintain accurate records of guest sessions, bookings, activities, and relevant fitness programs.
Promote fitness, wellness, and recreational activities available at the resort.
Assist with organizing special fitness, wellness, and recreational events for guests and Team Members.
Support the Recreation/Spa team in achieving departmental goals and guest satisfaction targets.
Maintain professional appearance, personal hygiene, and a positive attitude at all times.
Attend departmental meetings, training sessions, and other programs as required.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Management in line with operational requirements.
Qualifications & ExperienceDiploma or recognized certification in Fitness, Personal Training, Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Fitness Instructor or Personal Trainer, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort environment.
Valid First Aid and CPR certification is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of fitness training principles, exercise techniques, and fitness equipment.
Experience conducting both personal training and group fitness sessions.
Good command of English, both written and spoken.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and guest-handling skills.
Energetic, outgoing, and positive personality with a passion for fitness and wellness.
Ability to motivate guests and build professional relationships.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multicultural team.
Flexible, proactive, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced resort environment.

QualificationsDiploma or Certificate in Fitness, Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, or similar role, preferably in a hotel or resort environment.
Valid Personal Trainer / Fitness Instructor certification from a recognized institution.
Knowledge of strength training, cardio, stretching, and general fitness programs.
Good understanding of exercise techniques, fitness assessments, and basic nutrition.
Strong communication and guest-handling skills.
Ability to conduct individual and group fitness sessions.
Friendly, energetic, and service-oriented personality.
Good command of English.
First Aid/CPR certification would be an advantage.
