We are hiring a Junior Airlines Sales Manager for the Italian market, based in Milan.
The selected candidate will be contracted by DTW Italian branch under the local CCNL Agenzie di viaggio - confcommercio (H047).
The contract, at CCNL level 3, will be done initially for two years and eventually become indefinite and increased at higher level.
Role Summary – primary purpose and function of this role
Reporting to the Senior Account Manager, based in London, the post holder is responsible for sales and account management functions to support a key strategic online airline customer in Europe
A self-motivated individual is key to this role, targeting key IT trade partners, supporting our air customers key sales strategies, whilst embedding themselves fully into the customers DNA.
Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience
- •Build positive and credible relationships with agency customers at all levels
- •Participate and assist with co-ordination of trade events and FAM trips (these will sometimes be
- out of office hours and over weekends)
- •Work within a team environment supporting the broader DTW network of air clients.
- •Support with launch of new routes and launch activities
- •Support other EU offices when needed
- •Deliver high impact presentations of product training with key trade partners in office and virtual
- •Minimum 2 years airline experience preferred.
- •Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- •Good knowledge of CRM’s, preferably Salesforce
- •Ability to work and thrive in a multi-tasked, fast paced environment
- •Team player who is willing to share ideas, bring a positive attitude and be flexible when needed.
Communicating and Influencing
- •Deliver excellent service to travel trade base supporting account management team.
- ·Ensure regular communication and strategic focus is in place – identifying customers ‘needs & wants’ and delivering tailored solutions to each individual customer whilst supporting customer’s overarching commercial goals.
- ·Internally working closely alongside other sales execs and account managers, sharing best practice where appropriate - communicating effectively is key to success within the role.
- ·A strong relationship is essential with our customers HQ, ensuring the Airline Manager is fully embedded within this organisation – travel essential around Europe when needed to support client’s requirements.
