This challenging position requires excellent leadership and organisational skills to manage services on and off-site, providing direction to Project Managers, Supervisors, and various sub-contractors as needed.Primary Responsibilities:Authoring and reviewing the Owner's Project Requirements, Basis of Design, and commissioning documentsDrafting the Commissioning Plan and Programme, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelinesLeading the Commissioning Agent Kick-Off Meeting, facilitating collaboration and understanding among stakeholdersCompiling a comprehensive project directory, ensuring all relevant information is documented and easily accessibleDesign PhaseAuthoring and reviewing the Owner's Project Requirements, Basis of Design, and commissioning documentsDrafting the Commissioning Plan and Programme, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelinesLeading the Commissioning Agent Kick-Off Meeting, facilitating collaboration and understanding among stakeholdersCompiling a comprehensive project directory, ensuring all relevant information is documented and easily accessibleConstruction PhaseLeading Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 Commissioning Workshops, fostering teamwork and efficient execution of commissioning tasksAttending Factory and Field Witness Tests,
overseeing the process, and producing related reports to ensure compliance with project specificationsDeveloping Commissioning Checklists for electrical, mechanical, monitoring, and safety systems, guaranteeing thorough and systematic assessmentsDrafting Level 4 Test Scripts and Site Observation Reports, documenting observations accurately and providing clear action plansConducting weekly commissioning and client meetings, maintaining effective communication channels throughout constructionManaging and updating the Commissioning Tracker, ensuring all commissioning activities are tracked and progress is well-monitoredAcceptance PhaseOverseeing Level 4 Commissioning across various systems, coordinating with project teams to resolve any issues promptlyCollating and presenting Level 4 Commissioning data and preparing comprehensive reports for project stakeholdersDrafting Level 5 Test Scripts and leading the Pre-Integrated Systems Testing Meeting, ensuring a smooth transition to the final commissioning phaseCoordinating Level 5 Commissioning and producing the preliminary report, highlighting successes, and identifying areas for improvementHandover Phase:Coordinating system training data collection,
ensuring end-users receive the necessary training for efficient system operationReviewing Operations & Maintenance procedures, validating their completeness and accuracyLeading the "Lessons Learnt Workshop," facilitating a constructive discussion to identify valuable insights for future projectsDelivering the Final Commissioning Report, summarising the commissioning process and outcomes to support the successful handover of the projectQualifications And ExperienceCompletion of trade apprenticeship or qualifications - EssentialBEng (Hons) in an engineering discipline or equivalent - EssentialCSCS / Safe Pass / ECS / SMSTS holder - EssentialHNC - Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services - EssentialPrince 2 or equivalent - DesirableWe will fully support those candidates who have the potential to achieve the above through further education, CPD, and mentoring.The project is scheduled to commence in August 2026.We welcome applications from both British passport holders and European/Irish passport holders.We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information.
