Overview

In this role you lead the design and delivery of AI model serving capabilities, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost efficiency at scale. You work across Platform, MLOps, Reliability, Security, Data and Product teams to enable production-ready AI services for GenAI use cases. You mentor engineers and raise engineering standards across teams. This position plays a pivotal part in Baker Hughes’ mission to leverage intelligent technologies in energy.

Responsabilità

- Lead the design, analysis, implementation, and integration of AI model serving solutions
- Design and standardize serving architectures for AI and GenAI use cases
- Define and implement safe rollout and rollback strategies
- Drive performance, scalability, and cost optimization
- Establish and review runtime resilience patterns

- Provide technical leadership and coaching through design and code reviews
- Develop and review performance, load, resiliency, and cost test plans
- Ensure operational readiness for production launches
- Participate in architecture, operational readiness, and security reviews
- Collaborate with Platform, MLOps, Reliability, Security, Data, and Product teams

Requisiti fondamentali

- Strong experience delivering production-grade software systems
- Expertise in Python development
- Experience with containerized, microservice-based architectures
- Strong understanding of API design and versioning
- Experience with AWS
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives
- Fluent Italian and English
- EU permit
