The A-Rosa Lago di Garda Hotel, a 5-star resort owned by the German group DSR Holding and open for around 10 months a year, is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to start in October ****.
Responsibility
The successful candidate will join our technical department, which currently comprises four professionals, and, reporting directly to the Head of Maintenance, will be responsible for:
Actively assisting with routine and non-routine maintenance of the guest rooms, communal areas and the spa
Inspecting the electrical, plumbing, ventilation and air-conditioning systems, reporting any faults and carrying out the necessary work and repairs as agreed with the Maintenance Manager
Ensuring the upkeep of premises, furnishings and equipment by carrying out painting and carpentry work
Providing technical support in setting up meeting rooms and during events organised on-site
Collaborate with external contractors.
Requirements
At least 1 year's proven experience in the role, preferably in a 4- or 5-star hotel
Diploma or professional qualification as an electrician and/or plumber/heating engineer

Knowledge of health and safety regulations; possession of valid fire safety and/or first aid training certificates is an advantage
Good manual dexterity in the use of work equipment and tools
Ability to quickly identify and report faults, and a proactive approach to resolving minor issues
Problem-solving skills, precision, reliability and a team-oriented approach
Flexibility regarding working hours and a willingness to work shifts, including Sundays and public holidays
Category B driving licence
