Each day, you will optimize designs to meet updated standards and incorporate new products, components, and functionalities. You will also showcase your expertise by applying design thinking or design for excellence concepts in projects.The work model for the role is: #LI-HybridThis role is contributing to the Robotics Automation Division (RA) - Robotics & Discrete Automation, Robotics Operations in Italy. Main stakeholders are Proposal & Sales Support Team, Project Management, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing & Supply Chain, Installation & Commissioning Teams, Customers and System Integrators.You will be mainly accountable for:Performing project peer-reviews, utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines.Creating standard processes and tools to promote the reuse of technical solutions,
innovation, and productivity in the design team.Developing work plans and cost estimates for the portfolio of projects.Reviewing complete project documents for conformity, safety, cybersecurity, and quality assurance requirements.Qualifications for the role You are highly skilled in 3D mechanical design, machine design methodologies and engineering standards within the industrial automation and robotics market.You have 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering and machine design, preferably in robotic cells, automation systems or special-purpose machinery.Possess advanced knowledge of Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD and PLM/PDM tools.You are passionate about problem solving, teamwork, innovation and continuous improvement.Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.You are at ease communicating in Italian and English.Availability to travel occasionally for customer meetings and site activities.Compensation Package As part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico Minimum annual salary: 48.000Variable Pay: Eligible for Company Productivity BonusThe offer will be tailored based on your role location, experience, skills and qualifications, internal market positioning and alignment with ABB internal standards.
