Role
- Developing and maintaining backend services in Java and Spring Boot,
- Building REST APIs and integrating services within a distributed environment,
- Consuming and processing platform events and customer data in a near real-time integration landscape,
- Implementing event-driven solutions using Azure Event Hub or Kafka,
- Persisting and managing customer data in Azure SQL databases,
- Designing and maintaining microservices deployed on Azure,
- Working with enterprise integrations across Salesforce, MuleSoft, and Azure,
- Contributing to API design and documentation using OpenAPI / Swagger,
- Working with Docker and Kubernetes,
- Collaborating with the team on code quality, testing, and continuous delivery.
Profile
- 5+ years of professional experience in Java development,
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 11+ and Spring Boot,
- Solid experience developing REST APIs,
- Practical experience with Azure SQL or other SQL databases,
- Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging platforms such as Azure Event Hub or Kafka,
- Experience working with enterprise integrations and distributed systems,
- Good knowledge of OpenAPI / Swagger,
- Experience with Git and Azure DevOps,
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes,
- Practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery,
- Good understanding of microservices architecture,
- Good command of English (min. B2) and Italian (min. B2),
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Italy to visit the client.
- Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.
Nice to have
- Experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work. xjncmbx
- Interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
