BMS Engineer
looking for your next major project?
We are currently seeking a
Senior BMS Engineer
to join a major
data centre project in Milan
, taking ownership of BMS engineering and design activities from development through to testing, commissioning and final handover.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong BMS professional who enjoys working on complex projects, coordinating specialist subcontractors and delivering high-quality engineering solutions within a demanding critical infrastructure environment.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
Taking ownership of
Tier 2 engineering and design submittals
Reviewing I/O and data point schedules, equipment schedules and schematics
Coordinating device and wiring layouts, panel designs and interlocks
Developing and reviewing functional specifications
Managing BMS subcontractor activities and monitoring engineering progress
Coordinating BMS works with mechanical, electrical and other project disciplines
Supporting design reviews, engineering changes and technical documentation
Participating in
W1, W2 and W3 site walkdowns
Identifying technical issues and driving them through to resolution
Supporting off?site testing, witness testing, commissioning and validation
Ensuring BMS systems are fully tested and ready for client handover
Coordinating O&M; manuals, record drawings and close?out documentation
Supporting final handover and ensuring all technical requirements are completed
About You
We're looking for an experienced BMS professional with:
Significant
BMS engineering and controls experience
Experience working on
data centres, pharmaceutical, high-tech, critical infrastructure or similarly complex projects
Strong understanding of BMS design, controls, instrumentation and system integration
Experience producing and reviewing technical engineering submittals
Strong knowledge of I/O schedules, equipment schedules, schematics and wiring layouts
Experience developing or interpreting functional specifications
Previous experience managing BMS subcontractors or specialist engineering teams
Experience with testing, commissioning and handover
Strong technical documentation and engineering change?control experience
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of engineering packages
Strong focus on quality, safety and technical compliance
Desirable
Major
data centre projects
Tier 1 / Tier 2 BMS systems
W1, W2 and W3 inspections
Off?site testing and commissioning
Critical environment controls
International project teams
Relevant BMS, controls, electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications
