Overview

In this role, you will plan and drive Local Business Line Turbine Control projects for ST/GT turbines, ensuring timely, cost-effective execution. You’ll coordinate engineering activities across multiple projects and collaborate with procurement to align supplier requirements. You will design experiments, analyze data, and prepare project documentation while upholding safety and quality standards. The position offers cross-functional exposure, international commissioning opportunities, and a path to impact ABB’s decarbonization and efficiency goals.

Responsabilità

- Coordinate engineering discipline across several Turbine projects and support testing, installation, and commissioning activities
- Design experiments, analyze data, and prepare project documents within area of responsibility
- Improve work plans in collaboration with other functions
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to communicate and agree on technical requirements with suppliers
- Provide technical evaluation of supplier proposals and assess for fit
- Develop and apply standard techniques, procedures and tools




- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and contractual requirements
- Assist in preparing proposals and include BOMs and estimated engineering hours
- Create work plans and cost estimates; review/approve scope, budget, and schedule
- Ensure quality deliveries on time and within targeted cost

Requisiti fondamentali

- Technical diploma or Degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering
- 3+ years in Steam/Gas Turbine control applications or Industrial Automation
- Experience with Automation products and solutions in Oil & Gas and/or Power Generation
- Familiarity with DCS, Instrumentation & Control (I&C;), and Protection systems
- Knowledge of ABB Control Systems is a plus
- Understanding of network engineering/IT/IS, PC handling, Windows, backups, cybersecurity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD/AUTOCAD, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe
- Customer-focused mindset and ability to build long-term relationships
- Willingness to participate in commissioning activities in Italy and abroad
- Fluency in English and Italian
