Communications Coordinator

The Communications Coordinator supports the Communications Director in managing the company’s communications across internal departments, regional teams, PR agencies and content partners.
The role sits within the Marketing team and works closely with Product Marketing, CRM, Content, and Legal. Across all areas, this position requires proactive contribution and independent thinking, not just execution and coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the flow of communications regarding consumer engagement tips between internal departments and with regional teams
- Coordinate communications with global PR agencies, managing assets and press needs across long lead and short lead product pushes and new launches
- Act as the daily point of contact with SMN’s copywriting agency, coordinating translation, localization and copy requests across markets
- Support review and coordination of SMN community
- Partner with the CRM team to review and approve email communications
- Maintain an organized shared drive system for brand assets
- Manage & coordinate social media channels including Instagram, LinkedIn and others
- Keep the global marketing calendar updated, contributing opinions and input rather than tracking it passively
- Work closely with the content team, managing assets according to PR, Ecommerce and social media needs
- Contribute to gifting initiatives
- Help coordinate events and press trips
- Prepare decks and briefing materials in support of executive needs across the organization
- Provide coordination on basic legal matters related to communications materials
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field
- At least 4 years of experience in communications, PR or a related field, ideally within luxury or heritage brands
- Fluent in Italian and English, written and spoken; additional languages are a plus
- Proficiency in Office Suite; experience with Launchmetrics preferred; Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Discreet, able to handle confidential material with good judgment
- Comfortable writing and communicating in an institutional tone rooted in heritage, rather than a lifestyle or trend focused marketing voice
- Willing to travel regularly to Florence, with occasional international travel
