Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world. /b /ppWe are seeking an experiencedbDesign Architect /b that will supportsupport Resident Officer in Charge of Construction (ROICC). You will provide architectural design services, coordinate multidisciplinary projects, and ensure designs comply with DoD, Navy, applicable codes, standards, and project requirements. /ppbThis position is contingent upon the award of contract. If awarded, the anticipated period of performance will be approximately five years with six months potential extension. /b /ph3Key Responsibilities: /h3ulliProvide architectural design services for new construction and renovation projects in compliance with applicable codes and standards. /liliPlan, develop, and coordinate architectural designs for multi-disciplinary/trade, vertical, and horizontal construction projects. /liliReview and develop technical engineering drawings, Statements of Work (SOWs), and contract modifications. /liliCoordinate architectural requirements with related engineering disciplines and assess their impact on project design. /liliApply DoD and Navy design criteria, guide specifications, policies, IBC, NFPA 101, and applicable industry codes and standards. /liliEnsure designs comply with applicable local, state, federal, and host nation laws, codes, and statutory requirements. /liliMonitor project design activities to ensure successful and timely completion within schedule and budget.
/liliPrepare technical reports, progress updates, and recommendations for Government personnel. /liliUse architectural design, drafting, analysis, and project management software to develop and manage design deliverables. /li /ulh3Qualifications to be successful in the role: /h3ulliBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture earned through completion of a course of studies accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) or international equivalent, supplemented by substantial hands-on facilities design experience. /liliMinimum five (5) years of professional, architectural code-compliant facilities design experience for new construction, including renovation design, on U.S. Department of Defense or similar government agency projects. /liliKnowledge of related architectural and engineering fields and their associated impacts on architectural design. /liliAbility to read, write, and speak fluent English (CEFR C1 level preferred, minimum B2). /liliMust successfully pass required security background investigations. /li /ulh3Why Planate? /h3pPlanate Management Group is an Aff…? /ppJoining the Planate team opens you to an experience working for a Global company where you are among a team that is considered a premier trusted partner for planning, design, engineering, asset management, and professional service solutions anytime, anywhere.
