ph3Senior Embedded Software Engineer – Research Development /h3pIn this role you will support embedded software development in structured RD projects and in software ecosystems for prototyping, contributing to innovation projects, enabling software ecosystems for prototyping, and collaborating with partner teams while establishing an internal/external network. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliDevelop, test, and verify embedded software in the field of embedded system projects. /liliEnable Infineon MCU portfolios for Arduino, ROS and Zephyr software ecosystems. /liliDevelop and test embedded software libraries mainly for actuators and sensors for Infineon MCU hardware platforms. /liliCapture, analyze and understand requirements and break them down into structured work packages. /liliRepresent Infineon at events such as trade fairs and university fairs. /liliSupervise working students and interns to develop leadership skills. /li /ulh3Qualifications Skills /h3ulliA degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics or a comparable discipline. /liliAt least 2 years of professional experience in embedded software development, preferably in the semiconductor industry or in robotics, with hands‑on experience in C, C++ and Python.
/liliExperience with embedded Real‑Time Operating Systems such as Zephyr and FreeRTOS, and with embedded system development workflows and tools. /liliVery good knowledge of MCU architecture/operation (interrupts, IPC etc.) and communication peripherals (Ethernet, CAN, UART, SPI etc.). /liliGood knowledge of ROS2 and simulation tools (IsaacSim, MuJoCo) is a plus. /liliFluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in German and Italian is a plus. /li /ulh3Application /h3pPlease send your CV in English. /ppSubject to meeting all job requirements, belonging to protected categories under Law68/99 will be considered a preferential requirement. /ph3Pay Information /h3pIndicative Salary Range – Padova, Italy: 38320€ – 52690€. /ppThe stated salary comprises annual base pay and target variable compensation.
