The Energy Year is hiring: Global Sales & Business Development Coordinator
? Worldwide | Relocation required throughout the year
The Energy Year is an energy intelligence company producing in-depth, country-focused reports and hosting flagship events across key energy markets. We work directly with governments, energy companies and investors to map out the opportunities shaping each market — and we bring the industry's key decision-makers together at our Energy Leaders Summits throughout the year.
Important: this role requires relocating to different countries throughout the year, following our report production and Energy Leaders Summits. You won't be based in one office — you'll be based wherever the project takes you next. If you're not able or willing to relocate repeatedly during the year, this isn't the right fit.
This is a hands-on sales and business development role for someone ambitious, proactive and ready to grow fast. No prior sales experience required — we'll train you. What matters more is attitude, drive and being genuinely up for a mobile lifestyle.
Working across our global projects, you'll:
→ Relocate to the countries where we're producing reports or organizing summits, for the duration of each project
→ Lead sales negotiations with companies across the energy, finance and industrial sectors
→ Develop and sell advertising, marketing and communication packages
→ Pitch and negotiate sponsorship opportunities for our Energy Leaders Summits
→ Manage your own sales pipeline — from prospecting and pitching to negotiation and closing
→ Work directly with CEOs, Managing Directors and senior decision-makers from the energy and finance sectors, across different markets
→ Be part of the on-the-ground team organizing our flagship Energy Leaders Summits
Who are we looking for?
Someone who is hungry to grow, motivated by results, and excited by a career that moves. No matter your background — recent graduate, career switcher, or someone with a few years of experience in any field — what matters most is that you're:
✨ Genuinely ready to relocate multiple times a year, for weeks or months at a time
✨ Proactive and confident
✨ Commercially minded, even if you've never worked in sales before
✨ Results-driven and comfortable working towards targets
✨ A strong communicator and negotiator
✨ Fluent in English — additional languages are a plus
