On behalf of our client, an international consulting and research company specialising in strategic advisory services for digital transformation and IT management, we are looking for an experienced Technical Architect to join their team.Legga la panoramica di questa possibilità per capire quali competenze sono richieste, incluse le soft skill pertinenti e la padronanza di pacchetti software.Technical Architect - the role is primarily based in Rome, with occasional travel.We are looking for an experienced Technical Architect to design and guide the delivery of enterprise network solutions across Data Center, Campus, WAN, Internet Edge and Hybrid Cloud. You will support Network Services from requirements and architecture through implementation, migration and stabilisation.What you will doTranslate business, application and security needs into network designs, technical options and target architecture roadmaps.Produce HLDs, LLDs, migration and rollback plans, test plans and building a documentation.Coordinate technical delivery across teams and vendors, managing dependencies, risks and milestones; support design reviews and go-live readiness.Review vendor proposals, bills of materials, licensing, capacity and resilience; support complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis and knowledge transfer.Key skills and technologiesExpert Cisco ACI knowledge: APIC, Nexus 9000, tenants, VRFs, bridge domains, EPGs, contracts and L3Out; distributed ACI,
including Multi-Pod and Multi-Site/NDO.Strong Data Center routing and switching, DCI, BGP/OSPF, high availability and segmentation; understanding of EVPN/VXLAN.Advanced Campus and WAN networking: Catalyst, ISE/NAC, SDA/Catalyst Center, MPLS L3VPN, SD-WAN and SASE/ZTNA concepts.Hybrid cloud connectivity: Azure/AWS networking, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect, VPNs and integration with on-premises infrastructure.Network automation and APIs: Python or PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, REST APIs, Git and CI/CD; monitoring and inventory tools such as Zabbix and ServiceNow Discovery/CMDB.Strong stakeholder communication, technical coordination and clear technical documentation in Italian and English.Experience and preferred certificationsTypically from 8 to 10+ years in enterprise networking, including 4–5 years in architecture or technical leadership, with proven delivery in critical, multi-site environments.Preferred certifications include CCNP/CCIE Data Center or Enterprise, Cisco ACI Specialist, DevNet, Azure/AWS networking and ITIL.Availability for on-site work in Rome and other Italian locations when required.Thank you very much for your interest in this opportunity and for taking the time to submit your application.Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we regret that we are only able to contact candidates whose qualifications and experience most closely match the requirements of the role. xysqume Thank you for your understanding.
