Sector: Hospitality, Travel TourismReference: -JBFor a prestigious luxury hospitality company, we are looking for a:Sales Manager - GolfReporting directly to the Sales Marketing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving the commercial development of the Golf Leisure segment, with a strong focus on the B2B travel trade channel. The role will contribute to business growth by managing and expanding relationships with international tour operators and strategic partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Business Development
- Develop and implement commercial strategies for the Golf Leisure segment across key international markets (UK, Germany, Scandinavia, and Benelux).
- Manage and strengthen relationships with golf tour operators and B2B travel partners.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the client portfolio.
- Represent the company at major industry trade shows and workshops (e.g. IGTM, ITB Berlin, WTM London).
- Organize and host familiarization trips (FAM trips) and educational visits for tour operators and buyers.
- Account Management Trade Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with specialist golf tour operators and luxury travel agencies.
- Manage contracts, allotments, pricing policies, and commercial agreements.
- Monitor partner performance and implement targeted business development initiatives.
- Maintain an active network with key decision-makers in the golf travel industry.
Required Competencies
- Strong commercial mindset with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills in an international environment.
- Strategic approach to business development and solid understanding of golf tourism market trends.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage complex projects.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in Sales or Business Development roles within luxury golf resorts or specialist golf tour operators.
- Strong knowledge of leading European golf tour operators and key source markets.
- Experience working with corporate golf groups and golf societies.
- Proven experience managing B2B commercial agreements, including allotments, rate parity, and net/commissionable rates.
- Familiarity with GDS/PMS systems and CRM platforms.
- Fluent English is mandatory. German or French would be considered a strong advantage.
- Passion for golf or active involvement in the sport.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
