Robotics Hardware Engineer – Underwater Robotics

We’re looking for someone who knows their way around robot hardware and likes getting things built.

You’ll work on the development, assembly and testing of our underwater robots , taking responsibility for hardware decisions and following them through to trials in the water .

What you’ll do:

- Integrate thrusters, batteries, power electronics, sensors and onboard computers.
- Build and troubleshoot wiring, connectors and watertight enclosures.
- Work on sealing, buoyancy, balance and component accessibility.
- Position and calibrate cameras, lights and sonar, considering how they perform underwater.
- Run bench and water tests, identify faults and improve the next prototype.
- Take hardware decisions from initial integration through to real-world testing.

What we’re looking for:

- You have practical robotics experience,



confidence at the workbench and the patience to understand why something isn’t working.
- You understand the constraints of underwater systems and how hardware integration affects sensing and perception.
- You’re comfortable working independently, discussing technical choices with the team and revising your approach after testing.

Working at Seamorph:

You’ll be close to the product and directly involved in the decisions that shape it. As the company develops, there will be room to grow technically and take on more responsibility.

We work around agreed milestones, with no fixed 9-to-6 schedule. Remote work is possible when the activity allows it, while assembly and testing require being there in person.
