We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help develop field software used with GNSS receivers, robotic total stations, and other surveying equipment across Android, Windows, Linux, and iOS platforms.
What you will doDevelop and maintain field survey applications using Java, C++, and related technologies.
Implement software modules that connect with Topcon and third-party field equipment.
Collaborate with project managers, team leaders, and software teams to plan delivery schedules and ensure high-quality execution.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and application issues.
Support existing mature software while contributing to new features, enhancements, testing, and documentation.
Provide technical guidance and contribute to continuous improvement of software processes.
Key skills and competencies3+ years of professional software development experience, with strong Java and/or C++ skills.
Hands-on Android development experience,
including Android Studio.
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles, algorithms, data structures, and multithreading.
Experience with software development tools, version control, debugging, testing, and documentation.
Knowledge of bug tracking systems such as JIRA, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing practices.
Knowledge of the following is a great advantage: c++20, boost, asio, gRPC, protobuf, mqtt, ntrip, rtcm, NMEA, cryptography, static analysis, memory optimization, C++ templates, sql, multithreading, lockfree, docker, geometryAbility to work in cross-functional engineering environments and communicate effectively in English.
Problem-solving mindset, ownership of technical topics, and ability to guide others when needed.
