The programme aims to strengthen cooperation betweenAfrica and the European Union in the space sector, supporting policy dialogue, institutional partnerships, knowledge exchange, innovation, private sector engagement and investment, while contributing to stronger and more sustainable African space ecosystems.
In this context, we are seeking a highly qualifiedNon-Key Expert – Space Applications Expert, Satellite Navigation & Connectivityto support activities related to satellite navigation, GNSS and augmentation systems, satellite connectivity and the development and uptake of space-based applications across Africa.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
University degree atMaster's levelinengineering, telecommunications, aeronautics, geomatics, or a related field.
Excellent command ofEnglish.
Working knowledge ofFrench and/or Portuguesewill be considered an asset.
Minimum General Professional Experience:
Minimum8 years of professional experienceinsatellite navigation, telecommunications, satellite connectivity and/or related applications.
Minimum Specific Professional Experience
At least4 years of professional experience working on satellite-navigation or connectivity applications, including GNSS and SBAS, aviation or maritime applications and/or satellite broadband.
Working knowledge of Galileo and EGNOS, IRIS2 and relevant African navigation and augmentation initiatives is an asset.
