We are fast, fun, and we live up to the attitude of “Every Day Is Day 1.” /p pWe require a Geotechnical Manager with previous experience in geotechnical studies and assessments for industrial or commercial developments. /p pThe Geotechnical Manager will join the International Design and Construction team and play an integral role in the development and implementation of the International network focusing primarily on our delivery stations. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing geotechnical expertise relevant for new facilities. You would focus on reviewing phase 1 geotechnical studies in early project stages, and obtain additional external expertise for specific cases. You would support on early site feasibility reviews and support the site selection process from a geotechnical standpoint, and work with the cost team to establish cost options. Further, you would work to optimize foundation and construction design in close collaboration with the (external) design teams and geotechnical consultancies internationally. You would help to establish geotechnical expertise internally, also by selecting and contracting external consultancy support. In addition, you will support standardization of the technical and facility related processes and systems. And there is always the chance to get involved into any other construction related topic in our team. /p pRelevant construction engineering, design, and project management experience are essential for the role.



/p pWould you like an opportunity to travel and work in multiple countries and cultures? /p pThe role could be based in Italy or Spain with 50% of time traveling either domestically and Internationally. /p pThe applicable collective agreement for this role is for employees of Logistics, Delivery and Shipping Sector. The position is classified at level 1 or above, depending on the candidate's skills, competences and experience. /p h3Key job responsibilities /h3 ul liSet up and review initial geotechnical site studies and feasibility reports, /li liSet up contractual relationships with International expertise providers /li liFrequent site visits supporting early and construction phase for geotechnical issues /li liWork on recommendation white papers and review reports /li liCompile and organize project updates, details and schedules in a reportable format. /li liEscalate concerning issues on projects (such as delays, insufficient information, budgets, etc.). /li liAssist in budget evaluation for the geotechnical part /li liOwnership or participation of design team meetings and design workshops /li liObtain and document all specifics regarding projects from site selection and transaction management. Research and compile all available information for site. /li liMaintain repository for all pre-construction work product /li /ul h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liSpeak, write, and read fluently in English at C1 level or above /li liUniversity Degree, B.S. or Master in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical expertise /li liProven experience in development and implementation of logistics, industrial or residential projects /li liExtensive construction design and permitting management or creation experience, ideally in international environments /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liWork experience within field execution, i.e.



with General Contractors /li liStrong leadership experience in medium or large construction program management /li liFrench, German, Polish, Arabic, Portuguese, Turkish, Chinese (Mandarin), Afrikaans and Zulu are considered preferred qualifications. /li /ul pAmazon is an equal opportunities employer. The base salary listed corresponds to working on a full-time basis.
