As a Senior Airport Planner in Milan, you lead airport planning opportunities within the Italian market while contributing to Europe & EIMEA initiatives. You apply robust analysis and strategic thinking to master plans, demand/c capacity studies, and facility requirements. You work across disciplines to deliver high-quality aviation projects and support business development. - Lead development of airport spatial plans, designs and simulation models
- Perform Demand/Capacity Analysis for airports
- Develop airport facility requirements and planning studies
- Manage and deliver aviation projects and coordinate technical work
- Drive business development in Airport Planning and Simulation
- Represent Arup in client meetings and communications
- Prepare master plans, program definitions and planning reports
- Develop planning alternatives for airfield, terminal, cargo and landside elements




- Create functional phasing plans and aprons/airfield layouts
- Coordinate with Architecture, terminal planning, and engineering disciplines
- Enhance in-house analytical tools or develop new planning approaches
- Engage with stakeholders through capacity/demand analyses and feasibility studies
- 6-10 years of relevant airport planning experience
- Proven ability to lead large-scale aviation planning projects
- CAD and graphic tool proficiency (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit) and 3D modelling
- Knowledge of airport operations, airspace and navigation aids
- Strong organizational, task and project management skills
- Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities
- Solid understanding of ICAO, EASA and IATA standards
- Fluency in English and Italian; additional languages desirable
