Tecnimont is looking for a Layout & Piping Mechanical Critical Application Specialist to join the Layout & Piping Department within the Engineering, Technology and Research & Development Division.

The Layout & Piping Mechanical Critical Application Specialist, under the supervision of the Group Leader, will contribute to the mechanical analysis and design of critical piping components, piping systems, and pipe supports.

The role focuses on complex mechanical applications requiring advanced engineering analyses, ensuring compliance with applicable Engineering Practices, international codes, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

- Performing advanced mechanical analyses and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of critical piping components, piping systems, and pipe supports.
- Performing engineering calculations for piping systems operating under critical conditions, including high pressure and/or high temperature applications.
- Analyzing systems subject to cyclic service, creep conditions, or other demanding operating scenarios.
- Performing mechanical assessments of large-diameter piping and components outside standard ANSI/ASME dimensions.
- Analyzing piping systems and components subject to high applied loads or complex geometries.
- Performing mechanical analyses of piping connections to critical equipment.
- Developing and verifying technical solutions for critical pipe supports in accordance with project requirements.
- Performing piping and mechanical calculations using specialist engineering software, including CAESAR II, NozzlePRO, and ANSYS.




- Studying, interpreting, and applying international codes, standards, and specialist regulatory requirements related to piping component design.
- Collaborating with Layout & Piping and other Engineering disciplines to ensure the technical consistency and integration of critical piping solutions.
- Supporting the resolution of complex technical issues related to mechanical behavior and critical piping applications.

Requirements and Skills

- Degree in mechanical engineering or technical diploma.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in mechanical design and analysis within the Piping discipline.
- Proven experience in mechanical and stress analysis using CAESAR II, NozzlePRO, and ANSYS.
- Strong knowledge of piping mechanical analysis, critical piping components, and pipe support design.
- Good knowledge of applicable piping codes, standards, and engineering practices.
- Experience with critical applications involving high pressure and temperature, cyclic service, creep conditions, large-diameter piping, high loads, or complex geometries.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with CAD software, preferably AutoCAD.
- Good working knowledge of English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to technical detail.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Availability for business trips in Italy and abroad.

Contract Type and Classification

- Contract Type: Permanent
- Applicable Collective Agreement (NCLC): Chemical and Chemical-Pharmaceutical Industry (Identification Code B011)




- Job Classification Level: Middle Management, consistent with job requirements and the applicable Collective Agreement

Compensation

The initial gross annual salary for this position, paid over 14 monthly installments, will be €50,000.

- The compensation package includes the applicable elements of the Collective Agreement as well as benefits provided under company agreements, including flexible benefits and a participation premio.
- Additional variable components and/or benefits will be illustrated during the selection process.
