We are looking for the LG WW Merchandising Manager for the important luxury industry based in the center Italy.
The Merchandising Manager monitors and drives the structure and performance of the Leathergoods category, ensuring alignment between product assortment, market dynamics and brand positioning.
Contributes to the development and evolution of the category by translating creative direction and market insights into clear and consistent merchandising actions across collections and regions, defining the overall product offering architecture across seasons, including price positioning, materials, colour palettes and category balance, grounded in in-depth market analysis and a strong understanding of category dynamics.
Role Responsibilities:
- Define and implement the global merchandising approach for the category, ensuring coherence with brand positioning and product strategy
- Build and manage the assortment, balancing continuity, innovation and entry points within leathergoods, translating creative inputs into structured collections and ensuring a clear and consistent collection architecture across categories and price points
- Contribute to seasonal planning by partnering closely with Sales Planning in defining sales targets, volume forecasts and store-level objectives, ensuring consistency between product strategy and commercial goals
- Monitor performance through key KPIs (sell-through, margins, stock levels, rotation), identifying actions to optimize results
- Contribute to forecasting and seasonal planning, supporting accurate and consistent projections
- Coordinate go-to-market activities,
ensuring timing, alignment and execution across all functions
- Partner with Product Development on product structure, cost alignment and delivery timelines
- Work closely with Retail and E-commerce teams to support assortment optimization and in-season performance
- Collaborate with Visual Merchandising to ensure full and consistent product representation in stores, enhancing visibility and storytelling across leathergoods and small leathergoods and guaranteeing a strong and coherent presence on the selling floor
- Incorporate client insights and market signals into merchandising decisions, ensuring alignment with evolving customer expectations
- Lead continuous exploration of market dynamics and trends to anticipate evolution and identify untapped opportunities
- Manage product lifecycle, ensuring continuity of key styles and adjustment of underperforming items
- Ensure stock availability through allocation, rebalancing and replenishment in coordination with Planning and Supply Chain
- Provide regular reporting and analysis to support business visibility and decision-making
- Support showroom activities, product presentations and buying sessions
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in merchandising within international luxury environments, with a strong focus on leathergoods
- Solid understanding of assortment planning, product structure and retail performance dynamics
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Academic background in business, fashion or related fields
- Fluent in English and Italian
