Job Summary
We are seeking a Service Engineer based in Turin to build and run SANY's company-owned heavy-repair (overhaul) center for excavators/road machinery/forklift and etc. You will lead workshop setup and operation, build and train the repair team, ensure repair and PDI quality, and act as the technical link between the overhaul center, dealers, SANY Italy and China R&D.;
Key Responsibilities
1. Overhaul Center Setup &
- Operation:
Lead the setup and daily operation of the company-owned overhaul center in Turin, including workshop layout, tooling, repair processes, spare parts planning, cost control and compliance with local health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Team Building &
- Technician Training: Recruit, train and certify repair technicians, building a structured skills program covering mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic control systems; extend training to dealer technicians as needed.
- Repair, Overhaul &
- PDI: Lead and personally perform major repair and overhaul work, resolve complex and escalated failures, and establish and enforce PDI standards on new excavators before customer handover.
- Dealer Technical Support: Provide remote and on-site support to dealers on complex faults, and share repair know-how and best practices with dealer service teams.
- Quality,
R&D; Feedback &
- KPIs: Support warranty analysis, collect local failure data and market feedback for China R&D; to drive product improvement, and track service KPIs (repair lead time, first-time fix rate, PDI pass rate, repeat failure rate) to continuously optimize processes.
Requirements
1. At least 5 years of after-sales and repair experience in construction machinery (excavators preferred) or heavy equipment, including hands-on overhaul experience.
2. Solid expertise in hydraulic, electrical and mechanical system principles and troubleshooting of excavators, with strong independent problem-solving skills.
3. Experience training technicians and building or managing a repair team or workshop;
experience setting up a workshop is a plus.
4. Familiar with PDI procedures and workshop safety and quality standards.
5. Able to summarize local product problems and put forward effective optimization suggestions for R&D; iteration.
6. Fluent in Italian, proficient English for cross-border technical communication with Chinese teams.
7. Valid driving license and willingness to travel across Northern Italy when supporting dealers.
8. Good cross-team communication and coordination abilities.
