In this role you will lead the Maintenance & Engineering organization at a large manufacturing site, driving reliability, uptime and continuous improvement. You will align with production to address operational challenges, manage capital projects and budgets, and develop a high-performing team while ensuring health, safety and regulatory compliance. The position offers impact through infrastructure upgrades, process improvements and cost-efficient technical solutions.
You will work in a multinational industrial environment focused on operational excellence.
- Lead the maintenance and engineering organization across a 300-employee site, coordinating a multidisciplinary team of 20+ professionals
- Develop preventive and corrective maintenance strategies to improve plant availability and reliability
- Manage engineering function including investments, capital projects and technical development initiatives
- Oversee maintenance and engineering budgets and external partners for cost efficiency and quality
- Collaborate with Production and other functions to optimize plant performance and foster continuous improvement
- Build and develop a high-performing team with emphasis on Health, Safety & Compliance and regulatory adherence
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable technical qualification
- Minimum 5 years of people management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in manufacturing; packaging industry is xkiyazw a strong advantage
- Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance, reliability, root cause analysis, FMEA, Lean Manufacturing and CI methodologies
- Experience managing maintenance projects, capital investments, budgets and external contractors with focus on cost optimization and efficiency
