We are now seeking a Senior Manager, Market Access & HTA Italy to lead the development and execution of market access, pricing, reimbursement and health technology assessment strategies for Italy. This role will connect the Italian affiliate with the European Market Access & Policy organisation and support both in-line and pipeline products.

Job Requirements Market Access, Pricing & HTA Strategy
- Develop, manage and execute Market Access and HTA strategies for Italy, aligned with European and global priorities.
- Lead pricing, reimbursement and HTA activities, including dossiers, payer value propositions, pricing strategy and negotiation materials.
- Provide strategic input into launch readiness and lifecycle management for in-line and pipeline products.
- Conduct health economics and outcomes research to support market access strategy and value demonstration.
Stakeholder Engagement & External Environment
- Build and maintain effective relationships with AIFA, regional payers, institutions and scientific societies.
- In collaboration with Medical, support timely real-world evidence initiatives and disease advocacy activities involving KOLs, patient organisations and health authorities.
- Monitor the Italian healthcare, pricing and reimbursement environment, proactively identifying policy developments, risks and opportunities.
- Contribute to policy and advocacy initiatives that support patient access and healthcare sustainability, and represent Shionogi at relevant industry meetings and events.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Delivery
- Act as a key Market Access partner to Medical, Commercial, Regulatory, HEOR and Government Affairs teams.
- Provide strategic Market Access insight and recommendations for business planning and decision-making.
- Manage external vendors and ensure high-quality, timely delivery of Market Access projects.
- Maintain strong alignment and collaboration with the European Market Access & Policy organisation.
A Summary of Key Responsibilities Includes: We are looking for an experienced Market Access professional who understands the Italian pricing, reimbursement and HTA landscape and can translate complex evidence and policy considerations into clear strategy and action.
You will be highly collaborative, analytically strong and comfortable influencing across a fast-moving matrix organisation.
You Will Bring:
- A bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Economics or a related field.
- A minimum of five to seven years’ experience in Market Access, HTA, or Pricing & Reimbursement within the pharmaceutical industry or consultancy.
- Strong knowledge of the Italian pricing, reimbursement and HTA environment, with experience supporting HTA submissions and payer engagement.
- Experience in specialty care and/or hospital products; experience in rare-disease HTA submissions is desirable.
- Experience working in an international, fast-moving organisation.
- A strong understanding of HEOR, pharmaceutical economics and reimbursement processes.
- Fluency in Italian and English.
- A postgraduate qualification in Health Economics or HTA, or an MBA, is desirable.
