Purpose of the Role:

The successful candidate will assume responsibility for the Procurement Office dedicated to the Space sector, coordinating the entire procurement cycle and the management of outsourced supplies for aerospace programs. The role includes the direct management and supervision of both the procurement of high-reliability components and the activities entrusted to external suppliers and subcontractors (EMS providers, precision machining suppliers, and specialized processing vendors). The position ensures fulfillment of project requirements, budget compliance, material traceability, and rigorous monitoring of production and delivery schedules.

and Key Responsabilities:

- Space Procurement Management: Direct responsibility for procurement strategies, RFQ management, benchmarking activities, and commercial and contractual negotiations with aerospace suppliers, ensuring the issuance and compliance of purchase orders.
- External Supply Chain & Subcontractor Management: Selection, coordination, and operational control of subcontractors and Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) providers.



Continuous monitoring of outsourced activities to ensure compliance with delivery schedules and quality standards.
- Space Model Traceability Management: Oversight of procurement activities related to the different project model configurations (EM - Engineering Model, QM - Qualification Model, FM - Flight Model), ensuring full material and documentation traceability in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Expediting & Risk Mitigation: Proactive management of Long Lead Items (LLIs), market shortages, and obsolescence issues, implementing mitigation plans to prevent impacts on program schedules.
- Vendor Management: Evaluation of domestic and international supplier performance, management of Approved Vendor Lists (AVL), and coordination of supplier qualification and audit activities in collaboration with Quality Assurance.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Direct interface with Engineering, Project/Program Management, Production, and Quality Assurance teams for the management of engineering changes, ERP requirements realignment, and resolution of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs). Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Production, and Warehouse teams to ensure alignment between material availability, project priorities, and operational progress.

Required skills and qualifications:

- Education: Degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Industrial/Management, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent qualifications.
- Industry Experience:



Minimum 5 years of experience in the Space or Aerospace & Defense sectors in Procurement Management, Purchasing Management, or Supply Chain Management positions.

Technical Skills :

- Proven experience in the procurement of Electronic, Electrical and Electromechanical (EEE) components, RF/microwave hardware, and precision mechanical components for space applications.
- Strong knowledge of EM/QM/FM model management and traceability processes.
- Working knowledge of ECSS standards and AS9100 / EN9100 quality management requirements.
- Subcontractor Management: Demonstrated experience in the contractual and operational management of international suppliers, EMS providers, and highly specialized subcontractors.
- Commercial & Contractual Skills: Strong negotiation skills, experience managing framework agreements, and control of project procurement budgets.
- IT Skills: Excellent knowledge of ERP systems and advanced proficiency in data analysis tools, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Languages: Fluent English, both written and spoken, is essential for managing an international supply chain.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Italy. Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Salary Range: €50,000 - €60,000 gross annual salary.
