Overview As Production Manager at Covestro Filago, you lead the Operations team to ensure safe, quality and efficient production targets. You will coach shift supervisors, drive continuous improvement, and guide digital tools adoption to boost performance. You’ll embed sustainability and energy efficiency into daily decisions while managing change and cross-functional collaboration.
This role offers a chance to shape a high-impact production organization in a globally recognized materials company. You will work closely with the Plant Manager to deliver operational excellence and people development.
Responsabilità
- Achieve production targets across Safety, Quality, Service and Productivity; manage KPIs like OEE, scrap and efficiency.
- Lead, coach and develop shift supervisors and team leaders, fostering accountability and growth.
- Drive continuous improvement and Operational Excellence through structured problem-solving and root cause analysis.
- Support digital transformation and use of MES, data collection systems, dashboards and analytics to improve performance.
- Incorporate sustainability, energy efficiency and responsible resource use into daily decisions.
- Lead organizational change while maintaining high engagement across teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory standards.
- Promote open communication and cross-functional collaboration across departments.
Requisiti fondamentali
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience (preferred: Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial or Management Engineering).
- At least 5 years in production management within complex manufacturing, with direct leadership of operational staff.
- Strong KPI management experience (OEE, productivity, quality, scrap), production planning, and CI/Operational Excellence methodologies.
- Experience with digital production tools (MES, data platforms, dashboards) and driving digital transformation.
- Focus on sustainability, energy efficiency and responsible resource management.
- Experience in chemical/plastics/pharma/food/packaging/process industries is preferred.
- Proven leadership and people development capabilities; change leadership and engagement.
- Italian near-native proficiency and fluent English (written and spoken).
