Are you seeking a PhD opportunity in Molecular Toxicology or Nutritional Biochemistry? If you are a highly motivated graduate student eager to explore complex biological mechanisms, this call deserves your attention. A fully funded PhD position is available in our laboratory within the PhD Program in Life Sciences (XLII Cycle) at the Magna Graecia University of Catanzaro (Italy). Candidates joining our group may choose between two complementary and high‐impact research lines.
The first project aims to uncover the metabolic function of an intriguing and understudied enzyme, potentially central to the health benefits of polyphenol‐rich diets, tumor biology, and beyond its conventional role in Phase I drug metabolism. The second project is ideal for candidates with a strong interest in clinical and translational research, focusing on the evaluation of nutraceuticals and the molecular mechanisms underlying their efficacy.

Role Description As a PhD student in Molecular and Cellular Toxicology Lab, you will enter a research environment already enriched with a substantial body of unpublished data, giving you a powerful head start. Qualifications
Graduate degree (MSc, Laurea Magistrale) in Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering, Medicine, or related fields.; candidates nearing completion are welcome to apply. Hands‐on lab experience is valued and will strengthen the application.

Calabrian origin can be an advantage for Italian applicants, but all candidates willing to relocate to Catanzaro will be considered and assessed based on their professional skills.
