About the role The PFAS EMEA Sales Manager is responsible for accelerating sales growth across the assigned region by developing the market for PFAS treatment solutions in drinking water and industrial applications. With Italy as the priority market, the role combines direct sales, channel development, territory management and close collaboration with technical and commercial teams to build a strong opportunity pipeline and convert it into sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive double-digit sales growth through market penetration and expansion strategies, applying a hunter mentality and strong territory management.
- Execute an ambitious regional sales plan for PFAS solutions in drinking water and industrial applications, with Italy as the priority market.
- Manage direct sales and channel partner relationships, including OEMs and distributors.
- Build and maintain a healthy opportunity funnel through consistent sales activity and prepare monthly forecasts using CRM tools.
- Develop and qualify new leads and partners while expanding existing customer accounts.
- Build relationships with stakeholders who influence or make purchasing decisions at all organizational levels.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and clearly articulate De Nora’s value proposition.
- Create actionable sales plans aligned with territory strategy and growth objectives.
- Collaborate with Application Engineering, Aftermarket Sales, Product Management and Field Service to deliver effective technical solutions.
- Provide market intelligence on regulatory developments, trends and emerging opportunities.
- Train, coach and lead channel partners to achieve regional targets.
- Share competitor and market insights with Product Managers and Sales Director.
- Maintain urgency in closing deals while continuously developing new opportunities.
Requirements
- University degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- At least 10 years of sales experience in the municipal and industrial water market in Italy.
- Proven leadership and motivational skills.
- Strong technical knowledge of disinfection and/or filtration technologies; knowledge of adsorption media for PFAS removal is preferred.
- Experience in water treatment sales and solution selling,
with established connections in municipal and/or industrial sectors.
- Ability to quickly learn products, processes and customer purchasing drivers.
- High accountability and ownership of territory performance.
- Ability to lead and motivate third-party sales channels.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems and digital sales tools.
- Analytical, self-motivated, organized and disciplined approach.
- Strong negotiation and contract-closing capabilities.
- Effective time management and planning skills.
- Competitive, persistent, tenacious and resilient, with a strong drive to exceed sales targets.
- Willingness to travel up to 40%, by ground and air.
- Fluency in Italian is required.
What we offer For this position, the annual gross salary will be no less than € 62,000 plus a variable sales commission scheme, together with the opportunity to contribute to the growth of De Nora’s PFAS solutions across EMEA.
