Overview
As the Lead Engineer, Automation & Control you will define and lead control system architecture for Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines and Compressors, shaping safety and performance in energy equipment. You’ll collaborate with specialists, suppliers and customers to drive standardized, cost-effective solutions and introduce new technology to boost profitability and productivity. The role sits at the intersection of design, safety standards, and customer needs, offering impact across advanced energy technology projects.
You will work in a cross-functional team and travel up to 10% to support sites and customers.

Responsabilità
- Define control system architecture for Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine and Compressor applications based on project requirements and standards
- Establish package control philosophy tailored to customer needs
- Define and verify functional safety requirements for control system architecture per IEC61508 and IEC61511
- Collaborate on detailed hardware and software design with engineering specialists, suppliers, and customers
- Optimize internal standard solutions and design tools; promote new ideas
- Travel up to 10% for customer meetings and site/test bed support
- Ensure compliance with industry codes and safety principles
- Maintain and incorporate cost-effective design improvements
Requisiti fondamentali
- BSc. or MSc. in Control, Electrical, Electronic, Industrial, Management or Computer Science Engineering
- Proficiency in Control System design and related development tools
- Familiarity with PLC architecture, computer networks, and industrial safety principles
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence and motivate
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 10%
- Desirable: experience in an engineering role for control design and energy transition experience
