Role Description As an In Venue Rugby Union Analyst at Oval, you will be responsible for live match data collection and validation during rugby union fixtures in Treviso. This tempo parziale, on-site role involves accurately tagging events, monitoring game flow, and ensuring the integrity of data captured in real time. You will work closely with remote analysts and operations staff to resolve discrepancies, escalate technical issues, and maintain consistent data standards throughout each match.

The position requires reliable attendance at designated venues and timely reporting of key data points to support Oval’s analytics and storytelling products.

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of rugby union laws, tactics, and positional play,

with the ability to follow matches in detail and identify key events accurately.
- Confidence working with digital tools and software, including basic data entry, troubleshooting simple technical issues, and operating laptops or tablets in a live match environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and concentration over extended periods, with the ability to work under time pressure and maintain accuracy during fast-paced game situations.
- Clear, professional communication skills in English and Italian, including the ability to collaborate with on-site staff and remote teams.
- Strong reliability and time management, including consistent availability for match days, punctuality, and readiness to work evenings and weekends as fixtures require.
- Prior experience in sports analysis, performance support, live data collection, or match operations is beneficial but not required.
- Interest in sports technology and analytics, with a willingness to learn Oval’s data standards and attend training sessions.
- Ability to work on-site at the Stadio Monigo in Treviso and to comply with venue and safety protocols.
