Role Description The Associate Researcher will work tempo pieno on-site in Rome, contributing to research projects in information engineering, electronics, and telecommunications. Day-to-day activities include conducting literature reviews, designing and implementing experiments or simulations, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data. The role involves preparing technical reports, research papers, and presentations, as well as supporting grant proposals and project documentation.
The Associate
Researcher will collaborate with faculty, students, and external partners, participate in meetings and seminars,
and contribute to the dissemination of research results.
Responsibilities may also include mentoring junior researchers and assisting with teaching-related activities, such as lab supervision.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in information engineering, electronics, and telecommunications, with the ability to apply theoretical concepts to practical research problems.
- Proficiency in research methodologies, including experimental design, data collection, statistical analysis, and critical evaluation of scientific literature.
- Experience with relevant software tools and programming languages (e.g., MATLAB, Python, simulation environments, or circuit design tools) for modeling and analysis.
- Effective scientific writing and communication skills for preparing publications, reports, and presentations in English; Italian language skills are an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, manage time and priorities, and meet project milestones and deadlines.
- Master’s degree or PhD in Information Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a closely related field, or equivalent research experience.
- Prior involvement in funded research projects, conference participation, or peer-reviewed publications is considered beneficial.
