This includes ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with regulatory and company standards across all project phases, from design and construction to commissioning and operations. /ppstrongRoles and Responsibilities: /strong /ppuDesign Engineering /u /pulliReview and consent to the design electrical power distribution systems (LV, MV, HV) for oil and gas installations. /liliReview the developed single - line diagrams (SLDs), load lists, cable schedules, grounding and lighting layouts. /liliReview and approve the selected electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, UPS, batteries, and motors. /liliPerform electrical system studies (load flow, short circuit, arc flash, protection coordination). /liliEnsure compliance with industry standards (IEC, NEC, IEEE, API, NEMA, ATEX). /li /ulpuProject Execution Procurement /u /pulliReview and approve vendor documents and technical specifications. /liliPrepare Material Requisitions (MRs), Technical Bid Evaluations (TBEs), and equipment datasheets. /liliInterface with other engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction teams to ensure design integration.
/li /ulpuConstruction Commissioning /u /pulliSupervise installation of electrical systems and ensure compliance with approved designs and standards. /liliConduct inspection, testing, and pre - commissioning of electrical equipment. /liliParticipate in FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests) and SATs (Site Acceptance Tests). /liliTroubleshoot issues during installation and commissioning phases. /li /ulpuOperations Maintenance /u /pulliSupport operations teams in troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems. /liliReview condition monitoring data (e.G., IR thermography, insulation resistance tests). /liliParticipate in root cause analysis for electrical failures. /liliEnsure asset integrity and optimize electrical system performance over the asset lifecycle. /li /ulpstrongQualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills: /strong /pulliBachelor’s Degree from an accredited university /liliWork experience of five (5) years in the sought discipline after earning the university degree /liliExcellent spoken and written English including proven ability to write reports /liliIn - depth knowledge of electrical design for oil gas environments (onshore/offshore). /liliFamiliarity with hazardous area classification and equipment selection. /liliExperience with electrical system modeling software (ETAP, SKM, DigSILENT). /liliUnderstanding of electrical protection systems, earthing, lighting, and lightning protection. /liliStrong analytical, coordination, and communication skills. /li /ulpHill International provides program, project, and construction management services for clients in a range of sectors undertaking major construction projects across the world.
