We are looking for a hands-on Workshop Lead Technician to run day-to-day yard and workshop operations at SANY's Turin site. You will receive and prepare new equipment, carry out PDI, lead major repairs and overhauls, service direct-sales customers on site, and train apprentices, while tracking service KPIs and sharing repair know-how with the team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Equipment Receiving, Shipping & PDI: Handle receiving, dispatch, loading and unloading of equipment at the yard; install components on newly arrived equipment and perform Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI).
2. Stock Equipment Management: Maintain equipment in the yard stock and carry out a monthly stock inspection.
3. Major Repair & Overhaul: Lead and personally perform major repair and overhaul work, and resolve complex and escalated faults.
4. Customer Equipment Maintenance:
Perform equipment maintenance at direct-sales customers' sites and support dealers when required.
5. Apprentice Training: Train apprentices on technical skills and workplace safety. xjncmbx
6. Knowledge Sharing & KPIs: Regularly document repair cases and share them with the team; track service KPIs (job acceptance response rate, on-time arrival rate, 48-hour completion rate, etc.) and continuously improve processes.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience in repair and overhaul of construction machinery or heavy equipment
- Solid knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems and fault diagnosis
- Experience performing PDI and working with apprentices or junior technicians
- Knowledge of workshop safety standards
- Fluent Italian; working English
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel to customer sites
