Operational Purchaser

We are looking for an operational Purchaser to join our manufacturing site in Gambassi and ensure a continuous flow of raw materials for production. This is a key role within the supply chain organization. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that production is never stopped due to lack of materials. This is a dynamic, hands-on role requiring daily coordination with suppliers, production, planning, and logistics, as well as quick decision-making in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Purchasing raw materials and production-related materials based on operational needs. Daily creation and management of purchase orders in ERP system. Monitoring deliveries and ensuring on time, in full (OTIF) performance. Active communication with suppliers (order confirmations, expediting, issue resolution). Negotiating MOQs and lead times in alignment with Procurement. Managing inventory (stock levels, ageing, obsolete materials). Supporting product phase-in / phase-out activities. Solving day-to-day operational issues (delays, shortages, quality issues). Close cooperation with internal stakeholders (production, planning, logistics, customer service). Maintaining and updating planning parameters and master data in ERP. Personality requirements and skills Must have:
Operational purchasing or materials planning experience. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. High level of ownership and responsibility. Stress resilience and ability to handle urgent situations. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Proactive, hands-on and team-oriented mindset. Nice to have: Experience in packaging / printing / manufacturing industry. Experience with MRP / planning tools. Inventory management experience. This role is ideal for someone who is: Prefers a practical, operational role close to production. Enjoys solving problems in real time. Reacts quickly to changes and unexpected situations.
