Position Summary:
The Onboard Media Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of all onboard guest-facing communications, including print, digital, and visual media. This is a senior onboard role accountable for implementation, content creation, production, quality control, and alignment with corporate brand standards and fleetwide consistency. The Onboard Media Manager ensures that all onboard communication is delivered to the highest standard, supporting guest satisfaction, revenue generation, and brand consistency, while serving as the primary liaison between shipboard operations and shoreside Media and Marketing teams.

- Strong business and analytical mindset, with the ability to track KPIs and performance.
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Ability to operate at a senior level onboard, influencing decision-making.
Duties:
- Content Production & Publishing Oversee the timely creation and distribution of onboard communications, including newsletters, menus, signage, promotional materials, and other guest-facing content. Ensure all content is accurate, clear, and aligned with company standards across print and digital platforms.
- Design & Creative Execution Design and produce engaging print and digital materials that align with brand standards and shoreside requirements. Create and review layouts, graphics, and visual content to enhance guest engagement and communication effectiveness.
- Brand Governance & Compliance Ensure all onboard communications adhere to corporate brand guidelines and maintain consistent messaging and visual identity. Conduct regular ship walkthroughs to verify proper implementation and address any communication gaps with relevant teams.
- Strategic & Commercial Contribution Support revenue-generating initiatives through effective communication and promotional strategies. Monitor guest feedback and performance metrics to recommend communication improvements and enhance the guest experience.
- Stakeholder Management & Leadership Partner with the Hotel Director and onboard departments to ensure effective communication and alignment with corporate objectives. Foster strong collaboration with onboard and shoreside teams to support successful execution of communication initiatives.
- Publicity & External Relations Develop publicity content by collaborating with guest contributors, entertainers, partners, and other stakeholders. Coordinate with Corporate teams to ensure alignment on external communications and promotional activities.
- Operations & Print Management Manage printing and publishing equipment, ensuring high-quality production and operational efficiency. Oversee maintenance, inventory, file management, and cost-effective supply planning.
Qualifications:
- Previous shipboard experience / Prior experience as a Media Manager, DTP, or similar role .
- Degree in Marketing, Media, Graphic Design, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
- Strong expertise in Desktop publishing and graphic design.
- Print production and equipment.
- Adobe Creative Suite and publishing tools. Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign and other Adobe applications, with a high level of practical experience in creating, managing, and delivering complex layouts and publication-ready materials.
- Previous management positions Preferred (Enhanced Profile).
- Background in publicity, graphic design, printing, media, hospitality, hotel management or marketing management
