In Italy, TJX doesn’t have stores, but a Global Buying Office with more than 160 associates in 4 different offices (2 in Florence and 2 in Milan). /ppbr / /ppstrongLogistics Assistant - Job Description /strong /ppbr / /ppstronguKey Responsibilities /u /strong /pulliInteracts with vendors and agents on behalf of the TJX Companies Inc. various divisions on logistics policies and procedures. /liliConstant communication with the vendor community and with the buying and sourcing teams to ensure compliance to all details related to the direct importation of merchandise into U.S. and Canadian markets. /liliThorough understanding of TJX’s direct import protocols to be able to guide new and existing suppliers thru the details of getting goods exported to the retail market on time. /liliProvides constructive counseling to agents/vendors to correct non-compliant execution of TJX logistics standards. /liliAssists in various aspects of Purchase order follow up once a product/program is committed with a vendor by the buyers. /li /ulpbr / /ppstronguRequirements /u /strong /pulliKnowledge of computer systems. /liliGood organization skills. /liliExcellent verbal/writing skills in English /liliAbility to communicate to all levels of staff.
