In this Construction Manager role, you will lead field construction activities for Life Sciences projects in Corsico (Milan) with on-site assignments across Europe and internationally. You will work closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors, and site teams to deliver safe, on-time construction and commissioning within pharma/biotech environments. Lead field construction activities and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery per project documents
Chair kickoff and progress meetings with subcontractors; maintain project diaries and documentation
Coordinate detailed construction schedules with Field Project Control and Planner
Manage construction and commissioning personnel, including direct subcontractors
Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and HSE procedures; participate in client safety audits
Review changes, approve scope modifications and manage any out-of-contract extra work
Support QA processes for field activities, non-conformities, and corrective actions
Liaise with Project Manager, Client Construction Manager, and Field Project Engineer to communicate project status and issues
Organize start-up of field activities and ensure proper records for contract closure
Monitor progress reports and ensure alignment with the Master Project Schedule and budget
10-15 years of post-qualification field construction experience in a relevant industry
Proven experience in managing office and field construction activities xlwpduy
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Able to manage construction and commissioning personnel including subcontractors
Demonstrates leadership, mentoring, and coaching abilities
Effective delegation and team development to improve productivity and project integration
Ability to manage uncertainty and make sound, fact-based decisions
Knowledge of HSE procedures and safety management on site
