Posizione: Junior Business Analyst – Banking & Payments
Location: Italy / Milano ONSITE.
Experience: 2–4 years. Employment: Full-time.
We are looking for a Junior Business Analyst / Functional Analyst to join a dynamic international team working on projects and application services within the Banking & Payments domain. The role is focused on supporting the evolution and day-to-day maintenance of payment-related applications, acting as a bridge between business stakeholders, IT teams and software developers. The ideal candidate has already gained some experience in functional analysis and has a good understanding of banking payment processes, with the motivation to further develop their expertise in both domestic and international payment schemes.
Key Activities
- Gather and analyse business and functional requirements, working closely with business users and technical teams.
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and documentation.
- Contribute to the definition of functional test scenarios, test cases and expected results.
- Collaborate with development teams throughout the implementation and validation phases.
- Support System Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
- Analyse and track application defects, supporting their resolution with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to application maintenance,
enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in project meetings and working sessions with stakeholders in an international environment.
- Develop a progressively deeper understanding of banking payment processes and related applications.
Requisiti: Required Background & Skills
- 2–4 years of professional experience in Business Analysis, Functional Analysis or a similar role.
- Previous experience within the Banking / Financial Services sector is strongly preferred.
- Good knowledge of payment processes, both domestic and international.
- Familiarity with SEPA and Instant Payments is a nice to have.
- Understanding of cross-border payments and transfers is a nice to have.
- Basic knowledge of SWIFT and financial messaging is a nice to have.
- General understanding of clearing and settlement processes.
- Ability to understand and analyse end-to-end payment flows is a nice to have.
- Experience with functional testing and/or UAT activities.
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Good level of written and spoken English, suitable for working in an international environment.
